+ Planning your photography session
Everyone is distinctively different therefore your photo session won’t look like anyone else’s. The work begins before the session. With your help, we start by stylising the shoot. I’ll ask you to fill in some questions so we can plan the intimate details. This includes selecting a suitable location, thinking about the type of images you’d like visually, what to wear, and what photography style I will be shooting.
+ What type of shoot can be arranged?
I am always open to creative suggestions if you have something in mind, however, I do have a few secret locations I love to photograph. These include quiet beaches, riverside parks, and Fremantle surroundings. I am open to home sittings or special places if that reflects family memories for you. It may be doing your favorite activity or hanging out at your local café. Most sessions go for an hour to an hour and a half. I normally photograph children, along with small families or couples, therefore I have plenty of experience and patience. Children need a comfortable secure place to be themselves. This is why outdoors or a home sitting is best.
Locations include; Point Walter Reserve, Blackwall Reach, Bicton Baths, Fremantle surroundings, South Beach surroundings, Cottesloe Beach surroundings.
+ When will I receive my photographs?
I will always try and provide your photographs to you as soon as possible. However, I never want to rush any job. Allow approximately 2 weeks for these to be digitally processed, and professionally polished ready for you to view.
+ How do I dress?
It is important to stay true to your style, however, depending on the type of shoot you are after I can recommend clothing that may suit. Take a look at some of the images on the site to get a better feel. It is always good to consider simple silhouettes, natural fabrics, soft patterns, and textured clothing. Think bohemian beachy, and delicate vintage details.
For kids, boys look good in overalls, bare-chested, or a soft-tone cotton linen button shirt. Girls can wear flowing dresses, florals, knitwear, corduroy, or bohemian attire.
Babies in crochet clothing, textured blankets, naked or neutral tones.
For women brands such as Daughters of India, Tigerlily, flowy boho, or vintage, look great. But remember to stay true to your style. Beachwear works for sunset sessions. Maternity photo sessions look great in a plain bikini top or jeans.
Local South Freo shops to be inspired by include Eros or Ginger Morris.
For men fabrics like denim, corduroy, soft checked shirts, or plain coloured tops & knits.
Warm tones work well currently such as brown, rust, & creams. For more information take a look at me on Pinterest on my What to wear board.
+ Costs & Investment involved
It is hard to put a price on creating memories for future generations to enjoy. After having professional photographs taken of my own family, I can only say how gratefully cherished those images are. I hope to offer affordable photography in Perth, so everyone can benefit from my passion.
There are a few things photographers take into consideration when pricing their time and craft as artists. This includes the amount of experience they have, the cost of digital equipment they use, editing costs, software costs as well as travel expenses. We are just like any professional trader, only friendlier and better at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. That itself is an art!
My session fee starts from $250 which will be paid to secure a time when placing your booking. This covers the time planning your shoot as well as the photography session. When you select a package this will be credited towards it.
You will select the digital photography package you prefer when booking your session. The remaining balance will be paid on the day of your shoot via EFT. Once this is paid the digital editing process will begin.
Generally, most people feel the mid-range package offers the best value, but it is okay to upgrade to more images after you have seen your photos. Most clients invest around $800-$1000 this includes the session with digital images. Packages start at $650. For more information on packages please email me.
All costs and any extra charges will always be noted beforehand when planning your shoot. Unless you require specific editing adjustments, then we can quote according.
Extra charges can include things such as extended family members (more than 5 people), personalised location such as a home sitting, or a special request you’d like me to cover. This covers the extra time needed.

+ What happens if I need to change or cancel my booking?
Life happens, I get it, so if you need to change or cancel your booking please do so as soon as you know. Any cancellations done 3 days or less from the date of your session will forfeit a $100 fee. This allows sufficient time for someone else. Changes due to weather, illness, or other conditions can be discussed with me directly.
+ How many sessions do you do and when are they done?
My sessions these days are limited. I like to focus on quality rather than quantity. I can take bookings on Saturdays and like to photograph early morning or late afternoon ( just before sunset ). It is best to make a booking 3-4 weeks in advance so we can prepare. For all other requests please email me directly.
+ Why book with me?
My advice to people looking for a photographer is to see how you feel viewing their style of work. Does it speak to you? I have over 15 years of experience photographing a variety of people.
